Iva Happe

Iva J. Happe, age 94, of Ripon, died Sunday afternoon, October 14, 2001.
She was born January 15, 1907, in Harvard, IL, the daughter of the Reverend George W. and Esther (Rennison) Zimmerman. She attended Walworth Public School and in 1925, graduated from Sparta High School. In her early years, Iva gave piano lessons. On October 30, 1935, she married Oliver F. Happe in Chili, WI and in 1940, they moved to Ripon. Mrs. Happe was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and the Friendship Circle. She was also church secretary at Immanuel for eight years.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver F. Happe; one son, Douglas (Doris) Happe of New Brighton, MN; one daughter, Marianne J. Happe of Locust Valley, NY; two grandchildren, Jonathan Happe and Jeanne (Jerry) Hinks all of Minneapolis, MN; two great-grandchildren, Annie Laurie and Brennan Joseph Hinks of Minneapolis; daughter-in-law, Janice Happe of Ripon. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth c. Happe in November of 1990 and Stanley F. Happe in February of 1993 and two brothers, R. Elry Zimmerman and E. Lyle Zimmerman.
A memorial service for Iva J. Happe will be at 11 am on Friday, October 19, 2001, at Immanuel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorial gifts may be given to Immanuel United Methodist Church in her name.
