J. Michael Phillips

J. Michael Phillips, age 75, of Green Lake, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, WI.
J. Michael Phillips was born November 29, 1939, in Peoria, IL, the son of George and Kathryn (Sharp) Phillips. Michael graduated from Springfield High School and later received a bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. He married Pat Harper in Springfield, IL, in 1961. Michael was a member of the Green Lake Rotary and was involved with Green Lake Rotary Youth Exchange. He was an avid volunteer for Hospice and also delivered meals for the Ripon Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Phillips of Green Lake, WI, children, Kathy Eaton of Plymouth, WI, Mike Phillips of Tulsa, OK, grandchildren, Zane “Alex” and Michael Eaton, along with his co-pilot and furry companion, Lyssa. He is further survived by his nephews, Jon and Stan Stohr. Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, John M. Sharp and Florence (Murphy) Sharp; his parents and a sister, Suzanne P. Stohr.
Per Michael’s wishes there will be no services held. Memorials may be donated to Green Lake Rotary Youth Exchange, P.0. Box 95, Green Lake, WI, 54941.
