Jack Parker

October 24, 1935 — May 7, 2010

Jack Parker, age 74, of Markesan, passed away on Friday evening, May 7th, 2010, at his home with his family at his side, after a battle with cancer.

Jack was born on October 24, 1935 in Tomahawk Wisconsin, to Earl and Ruth (Riemer) Parker. He graduated from Markesan High School and attended Agricultural courses through Moraine Technical College. Jack married Shirley Kline at Methodist Church in 1957. He worked on the family farm, and was a past member of the Markesan United Methodist Church, the Fairwater Rod & Gun Club, the Duroc Association, and the Green Lake Holstein Association.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Markesan, his son, Jay (Jeni) Parker of Markesan; two grandsons, Clayton and Carick Parker of Markesan; two step-grandsons; Dakota and Dillon of Beaver Dam, many cousins, and his dog/faithful friend, Molly Bea. Jack has been preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation and Memorial Service for Jack Parker was held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, from 10-11 AM, at the Markesan United Methodist Church in Markesan, and Pastor Paul Yoder officiated. Memorials can be given to St. Agnes Hospice Hope, 745 South Street, Green Lake, WI 54941, in lieu of flowers.
