Jack A. Teela, age 80, of Ripon, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009, at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
Jack was born on December 13, 1928, in Ripon, the son of David and Rosabelle (Bilderback) Teela. He graduated from Ripon High School, and served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 8 years and was a Sergeant. Jack worked at Speed Queen in the maintenance department for 33 ½ years, and was a retiree from Union #1326. Jack lived in Ripon all his life, he enjoyed raising and racing pigeons, telling jokes, investing in real estate and did landscaping around Ripon for the city. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Shirley Werdin of Montello, WI; three sisters-in-law, Cathy Teela of AZ; Betty Teela of UT; and Ellen Teela of Ripon, WI, and numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Anita Van Den Whitenberg. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, June, Betty, and Beverly; four brothers, Robert, Dean, Bill, and Gerald.
Visitation for Jack A. Teela will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
Funeral service for Jack A. Teela will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, Reverend Paul Nulton will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Ripon with full military honors to follow. A memorial has been established in Jacks name.
