Jacob Albert Leitz, age 71, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 1991, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Jacob was born May 25, 1919, in Ripon, the son of Herman and Carolyn (Nordvi) Leitz. He was educated in Ripon and was a Ripon College graduate, Class of 1941. He married Irene Peppler on September 1, 1945, in Oshkosh. He farmed his entire life on the family farm. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; one son, Jacob A. (Debra) of Ripon; three daughters, Jalene (Richard) Lodle of Burlington, Jacalyn (Mark) Malak of Beaver Dam and June (Steven) Petersen of Waupaca; 9 grandchildren and one sister, Rae Gay of Santee, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Visitation for Jacob will be held on Monday, January 28, 1991, from 11 – 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Funeral service for Jacob will be held at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate. A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
