James Baker

James Earnest Baker, 80, of Ripon (Green Lake) passed away on February 7, 2001, at his home.

Born on January 13, 1921, James was the son of Roy P. and Elsie May (Faires) Baker in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. In 1949 he married Shirley May Madsen in Oak Park, IL. They made their home in River Forest, IL and James worked as V.P./Project Manager for Kroeschell Engineering Co. in Chicago for 48 years. James served his country during WWII as a Navy Aviator from 1943 to 1945. He was a member of the River Forest-Austin Lodge No. 850, Medinah Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite, and the Christ Church of Oakbrook, IL.

Surviving are his wife Shirley of Green Lake; nephews, W.F. Iselin of Jax, FL, John A. Iselin of Zionsville, IN, and Don D. Iselin of Denver, CO; nieces, Anne E. O’Brien of San Diego, CA, and Susan J. Iman, Denver, CO.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.
