James J.B. L. Burdick, age 69, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at his home.
J.B. was born June 29, 1946, in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of Shadrach Ted and Adeline (Stellmacher) Burdick. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1964 and went on to further his education at Oshkosh Technical Institute, graduating in 1966. J.B. joined the Navy in 1966 and served four years, which included two cruises on the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. Two weeks after getting out of the Navy in 1970, J.B. started working at Wells Manufacturing as a draftsman. He worked at Wells for 38 years, retiring as an engineer on July 1, 2008. J.B. was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his brother, William Bill (Barbara) Burdick of Ripon, WI; nephews, Brent (Lisa) Burdick and Brad (Becky) Burdick; nieces, Beth (Todd) Shinkunas and Brenda (Shamus) Busha; great-nieces and nephews, Grace and Cole Burdick, Abigail, Madelyn and Emerson Busha and Kade and Karsen Burdick. J.B. was preceded in death by his parents.
Per J.B.s wishes there will be no services. A memorial is being established in his name.
