James R. Clark, 61, of 938 Woodside Ave., Ripon, passed away June 21, 1989, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 6, 1927, in Ripon to James W. and Pearl Crook Clark.
Mr. Clark attended the Ripon Schools, graduating in 1945. Following graduation, he served a period of time in the U.S. Armed Forces. He married the former Joyce Warnke on June 20, 1950. She preceded him in death. On May 9, 1976, he married Myra Kannenberg. He was employed at the Boston Store, Oshkosh and Schlafer Supply Co., Appleton. In 1975, he managed the Kohl Hardware Store in Ripon prior to purchasing the Liberty Tavern in 1976.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Ripon and a member of the Early Birds Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his wife, Myra; two sons, Thomas and his wife Sue of Oshkosh, and Gary of Oshkosh; two daughters, Candace of Oshkosh and Robyn of Ripon; one sister, Jean Hague of Evansville, IN and two step-sons, Ronald Kannenberg, Green Lake and Keith Kannenberg, San Diego, CA.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm, at the First Congregational Church, Ripon, The Reverends Melodee Smith and Lawrence Janssen officiating. Interment will be in the Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.
