James R. Erickson, age 83, of 1005 Pleasant St., Ripon, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2007 at his home.
James born on May 6, 1923 in Arcadia, WI the son of Edward and Minnie (Mustad) Erickson. Jim graduated from Arcadia High School, and on August 4, 1947 he married Elaine Swenson in Arcadia. Jim worked as a salesman for Lubrications Engineers of Fort Worth, TX and owned and operated the Pickett Lumber Company. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and the V.F.W. Schultz-Klemp-Wentland Post #5278 in Ripon, and served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Elaine of Ripon, his children; Mary Lou Erickson of Las Vegas, NV, and James W. Bill (Mary) Erickson of Ripon, three grandchildren; Allison (Steve) Tenhagen of Elkhorn, Melinda Erickson of Burlington, and John Erickson of Ripon. He is further survived by one brother, Edward (Elda) Erickson of Minneapolis, MN, two sisters; Merle Erickson, and Florence (Ray) Urbick both of Arcadia, nine nieces and 14 nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his Parents and 5 brothers.
Visitation for James R. Erickson will be held on Monday, February 26, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Fagernes Lutheran Cemetery, Arcadia. A Memorial has been established.
