James Fairbank

December 24, 1928 — April 11, 1999

James I. Fairbank, age 70, of Pickett, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 11, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.

He was born December 24, 1928, in Waupun, the son of James and Lydia (Braatz) Fairbank. On April 2, 1948, he married Anita Kutzke, and she passed away on August 8, 1974. He later married Jean (Carpenter) Eiler. James worked at Waupun Truck Service, Grace and Terra Fertilizer Co., and also was semi-driver for Green Giant before retiring. He was always busy working on small engines since his retirement. He enjoyed his family, 2 horses, mule and dog.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Fairbank; 4 children, Janice (Howard) Loker of Red Granite, Jerry (Penny) Fairbank of Rosendale, Jeff (Grace) Fairbank of Louisville, TN and Steve (Lorraine) Fairbank of Rosendale. He is also survived by 6 step-children, Linda (Jim) Mueller of Pickett, Leonard Eiler and special friend, LaVonne Waugh of Montello, Laura (Richard) Meyer of LaValle, WI, Donna (John) Bille of Fond du Lac, Deb (Doug) Norton of Green Lake and David (Deb) Eiler of Brandon; 11 grandchildren;12 step.grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren 1 brother, Don (Shirley) Fairbank; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, I sister, Edith Craw, and 1 brother Les Fairbank.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14, 1999, from 4-7 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Thursday from 10.11 AM. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 15, 1999, at 11 AM at the funeral home with the Reverend David Busker officiating. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale.
