James Edward Hajicek, 82, of 544 W. Bay Ct, Green Lake, died unexpectedly March 31, 1995, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born October 1, 1912, in Chicago, a son of the late Frank & Marie Hajicek, and attended schools in Illinois. In November of 1934, he married Annette Goles. In his early years, Jim was a time study engineer for International. Harvester Company (THC). He then owned a resort in Marquette for 10 years. Returning to Illinois, Jim worked as maintenance supervisor for Wrigley Chewing Gum until his retirement. He then moved to Green Lake where he has resided the past 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, and was an active member of the Green Lake and Berlin Senior Citizens.
He is survived by I daughter, Marlene (Floyd Butch) Kahn of Marquette; 1 niece, Jean (Wayne) Coe of Pickett; 1 sister-in--law; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette, along with 1 sister, Rose Kriz, and 3 brothers, Frank, Charles, and Ladd Hajicek.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, April 3, 1995, at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake with Father John Dowd officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Village of Marquette. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
