James Jess, age 74, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah.
Jim was born in Ripon, on December 10, 1935, the son of Lawrence and Bessie (Florek) Jess. He graduated from Ripon High School, and went on to own the Jess-Florek Tavern in Ripon. Jim was a member of the League of Tavern Owners.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie (Jeff) Hopp of Ripon; two grandchildren, Jessica and Allyson Hopp of Ripon; and many cousins and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for James Jess will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010, from 9-11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon.
Funeral Service for James Jess will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. Memorials can be given to: Hospice Hope, 239 Trowbridge Drive, Fond du Lac, WI 54937.
