James Kasuboski

James Leo Kasuboski, age 89, of Brandon, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at his home with his loving family by his side.

James was born August 8, 1924, in the Township of Nepeuskun, WI, the son of Joseph and Helen (Marks) Kasuboski. He was a graduate of Berlin High School. In 1948, James was united in marriage to Jeanette Klossowski at St. Michael’s Church in Berlin. Together they raised their family and farmed in the Brandon area. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church; Catholic Foresters; Knights of Columbus – Council 4877; he was the caretaker at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery for several years and the charter president of the We Love to Dance Club. James enjoyed many hobbies in his life which included: flying airplanes in his younger days, hunting, woodworking, fishing, dancing, traveling, and playing cards – he was a famous Sheephead player. James loved spending time with his family. He had a passion for farming and spending time outside in their apple orchard or in the gardens. His most precious gift in life was his family, his lifelong friends, and his love for God. James was a loving, kind hearted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette, Brandon, WI; children: Jim (Laura) Kasuboski II, Ripon, WI, Cheryl (Dick) Forrest, Larsen, WI, Bill (Maria) Kasuboski, Kingston, WI, Mary Lou (Ralph) Thull, Kewaskum, WI, Bob (Pam) Kasuboski, Appleton, WI, and Shari (Doug) Jacobson, Ripon, WI; twenty-one grandchildren: Lori (Steve) McEwen, Debbie (Mike) Hammer, James Kasuboski III, Julie (Joseph) Williams, Robin (Clint) Eckstein, Chad (Kerry) Forrest, Heidi (James) Lockerby, Billy Kasuboski, Andrea (Ernie) Ernest, Andy Kasuboski, Randy (Ashley) Thull, Michelle (Dan) Jerabek, Melissa (Nathan) Rank, Russell (Megan) Thull, Marcia Thull, Brenton Kasuboski, Devin Kasuboski, Nathan Kasuboski, Brady Jacobson, Cody Jacobson, and Kylie Jacobson; thirty-one (plus two on the way) great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Sina, Ripon, WI; sister-in-law, Rosemary (Douglas) Langeberg, Omro, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilford (Genevieve) Kasuboski, Leonard (Margaret) Kasuboski, Edward Kasuboski; sisters, Mary Blare, Sylvia (Frank) Reitz; sister-in-law, Geraldine (Robert) Krelwitz.

Visitation for James Kasuboski will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, from 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 Blossom Street, Ripon, WI 54971.

Mass of Christian Burial for James Kasuboski will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
