James Meyer

November 16, 1961 — April 25, 2007

James “Jim” E. Meyer, age 45, of N6281 State Road 44/49, Brandon, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident.

Jim was born on November 16, 1961 in Waupun Memorial Hospital, the son of Edward and Mary Ann (Hare) Meyer. He was baptized and confirmed in Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon and graduated from Ripon High School in 1980, and went on to graduate from MPTI in Fond du lac. Jim was a member of the Springvalley 4-H Club as were his children, he enjoyed watching his children at the Fond du Lac County Fair, showing their animals and exhibits. He attended Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater and was an usher at the church. He worked for D&D Welding, Creative Forming and now was a self-employed Dairy Farmer on the Home farm. Jim greatly enjoyed his loving children, watching them grow, attending their school activities and enjoyed their friends, his family, many friends, coon hunting and deer hunting. Jim was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Norman and Viola Hare and Arnold and Agnes Meyer, brother-in-law, Clarence Pycha and cousin Anthony Hare.

Survivors include his children, Mallory Jean Meyer and Zachary James Meyer both at home, his parents, Edward and Mary Ann (Hare) Meyer of Brandon, one brother, Jack (Karen) Meyer of Riverside, CA, three sisters; Jill (Bob) Jahn of Green lake, Joan (Roger) Emerson of Ripon, and Joyce (Eugene) Schmidt of Fairwater. Nieces and nephews; Chad (Catie) Emerson, Curt (Fiancée’ Jamie) Emerson, Ashley & Jason Meyer, Joshua & Nicole Schmidt, Step-nephews, Chris and Pat Jahn. He is also survived by his children’s mother, Kelly.

Visitation for James Meyer will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007 from 4-8:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again on Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 10-11:00 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon.

Funeral Services for James Meyer will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon with Pastor Stuart Dornfeld officiating. Interment will follow in Mackford Union Prairie Cemetery, Town of Mackford. A memorial has been established.
