James “Millie” Canton Milbrandt, age 53, of Ripon, died Tuesday, January 11, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 26, 1946, in Milwaukee, a son to Wallace and Carol (Ewald) Milbrafldt. He attended school in Ripon, and 2 years of college. On September 23, 1972, he married Lillian Grace Petrak at Grace Lutheran Church. “Millie” was a sales manager for Ted’s United Foods, and had lived in Ripon most of his life. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon Early Birds Kiwanis, Tuscumbia & Mascoutin Country Clubs, and past member of the Ripon Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian G. Milbrandt; Sons, James Wallace Milbrandt and his daughters, Destiny Joy and Jamie Rose, and Jonathan Thomas Milbrandt; 1 brother, Wally (Leslie) Milbrandt, and niece & nephew, Katie & Kevin Milbrandt of Stiliwater, MN; and aunt, Mary Jane Milbrandt of Watertown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Carol Milbrandt; one brother, Mark Milbrandt; and uncle, Bud Milbrandt.
Funeral service will be 11 AM on Friday, January 14, 2000, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon with Pastor Jonathan Stansfield officiating. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 PM on Thursday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the Cancer
Relay for Life.
