James Nitzke

James “Jamie” Daniel Nitzke, age 40, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in the Town of Omro, WI.

Jamie was born on October 8, 1970, in Ripon, the son of Daniel “Bud” and Frances (Daehn) Nitzke. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1989, and his first job was working at Pamida. Jamie went on to Moraine Park Technical College and graduated in 1994, with an associate’s degree. He worked as an automotive mechanic for 22 years, currently working for Holiday Automotive Mazda in Fond du Lac. In his youth he attended Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, where he was baptized on February 28, 1971, and was later confirmed. Jamie enjoyed spending time playing softball and baseball in Fond du Lac, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his brother, Jeffrey Nitzke of Markesan, WI; two nieces, Alexee and Willow Nitzke; two nephews, Chandler and Spencer Nitzke; and their mother, special relative, Brenda Nitzke all of Markesan, WI; special friend, Tracy Guderski of Omro, WI; aunts, Marty Kloehn of Poynette, WI and Lois Paginas of Oklahoma; aunt and uncle, Patrick and Betty Putzi of Florida and his godparents, Muriel and Arnie Lamonska of Ripon, WI and several cousins. Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, all his grandparents and his uncle, Clarence Nitzke.

Visitation for Jamie Nitzke will be held on Thursday, March 31 2011, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Jamie Nitzke will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate.

Family and friends are invited to meet Friday, April 1, 2011, at 11:15 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home to follow as a cortege to the interment at Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. A memorial is being established in his name.
