James “Jim” Allen Prellwitz, age 51, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, with his family by his side.
Jim was born June 12, 1966, in Ripon, WI, the son of Darwin R. and Carol K. (Henshaw) Prellwitz. He graduated from Ripon High School and completed the Paramedic Program. Jim worked as a sheet press operator for Ripon Printers. He was also Assistant Chief for Ripon Guardian Ambulance Service, Driver Engineer for Ripon Area Fire District, a CPR Instructor and coached youth softball. Jim was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his bestfriend and love of his life, Jamie Krueger; daughters, Amber (Chris) Prellwitz and Amanda Prellwitz; mother, Carol Prellwitz; grandchildren, Jeremy Schantner, Jayden, Alexa, Dannica, KK, Emerey, Kealii and Dylan; brother, Gene (Carrie Jo) Prellwitz; sister, Jennifer (Chris) Peshek; nieces, Brittni, Alexa and Maisie; nephew, Reed, aunt, Gloria Grams and uncle, Raniel Prellwitz. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Darwin “Foot” Prellwitz and his paternal and maternal grandparents and his second dad, Alvin “Al” Guderski.
Visitation for Jim will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 9 – 12:00 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Jim will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 12:00 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Memorials may be directed to Ripon Guardian Ambulance Service, 100 Jackson St., Ripon, WI 54971.
