James Rowley

James Arthur Rowley, age 65, of Green Lake, died at his home early Friday afternoon, November 19, 1999.

James was born March 12, 1934, the son of Arthur and Maye
(Horrocks) Rowley. He attended Green Lake High School and graduated
from Ripon College in 1957. He served his country in the United States
Army from December 1958, until September 1960. James graduated from
U.W. Madison Law School in 1963, and worked for 36 years as a General
Practice Lawyer in Green Lake. On August 14, 1965, he married Elizabeth
Kroes in Fond du Lac.

James was a member of the following organizations; The Wisconsin and Green Lake Bar Associations; A member of the Board of Directors of Northeast Wisconsin Legal Services; the Ripon Philatelic Society; and the Oshkosh Earth Science Club. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, scuba diving, and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, of Green Lake; Children; Arthur
J. Rowley, of Berlin; Paul A. (Maggie) Rowley, of Markesan; Trudy A. (Glen)
Perry, of Menomonie, Wis.; Jason A. Rowley, of La Crosse; Susan E. (Brian)
Rowley (Taylor) of Green Lake; Benjamin R. Rowley, of Green Lake; and
Elizabeth M. Rowley, of Green Lake. He is also survived by sisters; Maisey
Krutsch, of Oregon City, Oregon; Mary Hill, of Ripon; and sister-in-law Joy
Rowley, of Green Lake. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, John T. Rowley~

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 23,
1999, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Rev. John R.
Dowd officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, November 22, 1999, from
5:00 until 7:00 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10:00 until the time of service
at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green
Lake. A memorial has been established in his name.
