James S. Walker, age 66, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2002 at his home.
Jim was born January 20, 1936, a son to Sheldon and Marie (Niles) Walker in Stevens Point, WI. He graduated from Wautoma High School and on July 23, 1977 he married Margie (nee Malzhan) (Gable) at Our Saviors United Church of Christ, Ripon. Jim was employed as Vice-President of Sales at Condon’s of Ripon, recently retiring after 42 years of service.
Survivors include his wife; Margie Walker of Ripon. Children; Julie Bowman of Green Bay, Jeanne (Henry) Felix of Oregon, WI., Joel Walker of Punta Gorda, FL., Sheryl (Ken) Hable of St. Lucia, West Indies, Kerry Gable of Franklin, WI. and Terry (Marjean) Gable of Oshkosh. Also survived by seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one sister; Ann Bacot of Des Moines, IA. and her daughters; one uncle, Phin (Margaret) Walker, extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2002 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Services will be Saturday, October 19, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. David A. Busker will officiate. Cremation will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Agnes Hospice Hope, 239 Trowbridge Dr. Fond du Lac, WI. 54935, or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1261 Fond du Lac, WI. 54936.
