Jane Alice Bishop, age 84, formerly of Ripon, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009, in St. John’s Michigan.
Jane was born in Ripon, on February 16, 1925 the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Belau) Nehls. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1943, and married Benjamin Bishop on July 24, 1948. Jane was employed at the First National Bank of Ripon thru 1957, she was than a homemaker and community volunteer thereafter. Jane was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her son, Brian (Laura) Bishop; and stepchildren, Sam and Annika, all of St. John’s Michigan; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Nehls of Ripon; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ben.
Visitation for Jane Bishop will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009, from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Pastor Dennis Meier officiating. Inurnment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials can be given to Mount Zion Lutheran Church in her name.
