Jean Jones Kutz

Jean Jones Kutz age, 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on December 25, 2013, at Fountain View Care Center, Ripon.

Jean was born April 15, 1931, the daughter of Ralph and Goldie Mae (Pillar) Hoyt. She graduated from Rosendale High School. On July 7, 1951 she was united in marriage to Walter Jones in Montello, WI and he preceded her in death March 17, 1992. On March 1, 1996, she then married Dick Kutz. Jean was known for her hard work. She put in over 25 years at the Advertisers; she worked at Vogue Cleaners for several years, where many people will remember her smiling face, and she retired as the business owner of Health Habit Natural Foods, Ripon, where she was known as the “Vitamin Lady”. Jean had a passion and love for music, birds and flowers. She was a longtime member of First Congregational Church, UCC of Ripon, a member of the Eastern Star; The Sisterhood of Rebekah’s and Women of Odd Fellows.

Survivors include her children, Susan (Bob) Ackermann, Oshkosh, WI; Pam (John) Haffey, of Colorado; Linda (Bobby) Jones Rasmussen, San Jose, CA; Robin (Jeff) Patzlaff, Pickett, WI; grandchildren, Erica Sampson, Michael Bowen, Lynnsay (Andy) Tesch, Allison Patzlaff, Adam Patzlaff, Heather (Shawn) Huolihan, Sarah Ackermann; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Samara, Kylee, Bailey, and Adelynn; brothers, Harlan, Bruce, and John Hoyt; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; brother, Keith Hoyt; and sisters, Mary Garb and Charlotte Hoyt.

Visitation for Jean will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 4 – 6:30 pm at First Congregational Church, UCC, 220 Ransom St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial service for Jean will be held on Friday, Janaury 3, 2014, at 6:30 pm at First Congregational Church, UCC in Ripon. Reverend Joanna D’Agostino will officiate. Inurnment will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 9:30 am at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in Jean’s name.
