Jean P. Robichaud, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin, WI.
Jean was born September 3, 1930, in Fond du Lac, WI, the daughter of Spencer and Violet (OHarrow) Carrier. She was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School and also graduated with a bachelors degree in education from The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and then went on to teach. On August 4, 1956, Jean married Raymond Francis Robichaud at St. Marys Catholic Church in Fond du Lac, WI. She and her husband moved to Ripon in 1960, and later went into business as the owners of the A&W in Ripon, which they owned and operated for 24 years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Jean enjoyed playing card games, was an avid reader, and truly loved being with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Anne Wondra) Robichaud of Waukesha, WI, Mark (Kathy) Robichaud of Ripon, WI, Bryon (Jimmy Cicio) Robichaud of Phoenix, AZ, Jon (Mary Campbell) Robichaud also of Ripon, WI, and Cathy (Mark) Philipsky of Fond du Lac, WI; grandchildren, Brady (Terisa) Robichaud of West Allis, WI, Megan (Jonathon) MacDonald of Citrus Springs, FL, Tyler (Fiancée, Mary Lynn Smith) Robichaud of Satelite Beach, FL, Rachel Robichaud of Tempe, AZ, Trevor Robichaud of Columbus, WI, and Connor Philipsky of Fond du Lac, WI; great grandson, Darius MacDonald of Citrus Springs, FL; sister in-laws, Mary Jean Robichaud of Rochester, MN, and Joyce and Dr. Tom Rulon of Spokane, WA. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Violet Carrier, her husband, Raymond Francis Robichaud and their beloved dog, Reba.
Visitation for Jean P. Robichaud will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, from 2 4:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Prayer Service for Jean P. Robichaud will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Eldorado Cemetery in the Town of Eldorado, WI, at a later date. A memorial is being established.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon and the ICU staff at the Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin for all of the compassion and care given to Jean.
