Jean Delores Reyes, age 71, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Ripon Medical Center with her family by her side.
Jean was born on February 16, 1942, in the Town of Hubbard, Horicon, WI, the daughter of Charles and Viola (Ehlert) Dummer Jr. On November 16, 1957, Jean married Jose Reyes in Waupun. Early in life, Jean loved to plant and grow beautiful flower beds and she was very fond of all kinds of bird houses. She loved cooking meals for whoever showed up at the door. Jean spent a lot of nights listening to her dearest husband, Jose sing and play in a band around the local area.
Survivors include her children, Richard J. Reyes and Marta of Ripon, WI, Joseph C. Reyes and Pam of Ripon, WI, Julie A. Holmes and Joe of Oconomowoc, WI, Jean M. (Rusty) Kirst of Portage, WI, Rosemary A. (Russel) Pollock of Brandon, WI and Sue A. Reyes and Carl of Berlin, WI; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; her sister, LaVona Dykstra of Waupun, WI and her brother, Charles Dummer of Fond du Lac, WI. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jose; two sons, John and Jim Reyes; daughter, Judy Holmes; grandson, Jason Reyes; three sisters, Beverly Dummer, Charalette Dahlke and Shirley Reyes and two brothers, Larry and Jerry Dummer.
Visitation for Jean will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial service for Jean will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Jerry Schrankler will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Patrick Catholic Church in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established in her name.
