Jean M. (Golz) Stroede, age 66, of Fond du Lac, WI, went home to Jesus on November 19, 1997, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
She was born June 18, 1931, in Dell Prairie Township, Adams Co., a daughter to the late William and Anna (Hubert) Golz. She graduated from high school in Oxford, and in 1948, she married Faye Roney. Jean was production manager of Ray O Vac of Portage and lived in Briggsville prior to moving to Madison in 1981 where she worked at the PDQ in Madison. Since 1995, she has made her home in Fond du Lac where she was in sales at the Everix Bakery of Fond du Lac. Jean loved her children and cherished her grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy (James) Bogenberger of Winston-Salem, NC; two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Stroede of Ojibwa, WI and Joseph (Elizabeth) Stroede of Fond du Lac; twelve grandchildren, Michelle, Brad, Bryan, Mike, Neely, Taylor, Nick, Matt, Leah, Will, Jordan and Drew and three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Harold (Hazel) Gotz of Endeavor; four sisters, Mrs. Burnice Hanson, Mrs. Helen (Harold) Coon and Mrs. Hilda (Harold) Potter all of Wisconsin Dells and Mrs. Lucille Amundson of Brooklyn Park, MN; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Fern Golz of Evansville and Mrs. Bev Sengbusch of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fay Roney; brothers, Vearn and Harry and infant brothers, Orville, Willis and Harvey, and brothers-in-law, Gail Hanson and Howard Armundson.
Funeral service will be Monday, November 24, 1997, at 11:00 am at Davis Corners Methodist Church in the Township of Jackson, Adams Co. The Reverend Lynn Peterson will officiate and burial will be in Davis Corners Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions will be directed to Central Wisconsin Cancer Program in her name.
