Jean Louise Harris Workowski, age 77, passed away on Thursday, May 20th, 2010, at her home with her family at her side.
Jean was born on September 14, 1932 in Aurora, IL to Ellsworth and Neva Harris. She graduated from Rio High School in 1950, and taught accordion in Madison. Jean ran a daycare, managed hotels & apartments, was a data entry clerk, and a sewer at PGI for many years. Jean enjoyed many hobbies in her lifetime, sewing, gardening and square & polka dancing, and enjoying her classic country music.
Survivors include her daughters, Gayle (Dennis) Fulwider, Gina Toni Roth and Bill Evans; grandchildren, Stephanie (Russell) Lashway, Kerrie (Brad) Bogenschneider, Michael, Cody, Wendy (Tylor) Evans, Kristi, Preston, Shasta, Savannah, and April; great-grandchildren, Russell Jr, Lucian, Hannah, Declan, Nevaeh, Ryen, John, Aryannah, and Reggie Jr. Also surviving is her sister, Jewel Latchford of Rockford, IL. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Gary Grit and Gregory; one sister; and two brothers.
A private family and friends memorial service has been held for Jean L. Workowski.
The family would like to thank the staff at Agnesian Hospice, Ripon Medical Center and UW Madison for their compassion and kindness.
Mother we know you are dusting the clouds and shinning the stars. With you in heaven, the sun should shine a little brighter and the moon will glow a little deeper.
