Jeremiah "Jerry" Long

Jeremiah “Jerry” Allison Long, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at his home with his family by his side.
Jerry was born May 15, 1937, in Ripon, WI, the son of Dale and Nora (Sullivan) Long. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1955. On May 17, 1958, Jerry married Donna Bloedel in Ripon. He was the President of Bloedels Inc. and L.B. Leasing from 1958 until the company was sold in 2006. Jerry was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. He was past president of WATDA, a member of Ripon Noon Kiwanis Club and he belonged to the Jaycee’s.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of 53 years of Ripon, WI; two sons, Richard (Lisa) Long of Highland Beach, FL and Ron (fiancé, Gay Mandeik) Long of Green Lake, WI; one daughter, Rebecca Long of Ripon; grandchildren, Nicholas (Kari) Long of Austin, TX, Drew Long of Galveston, TX, Ryan, Matthew, Evan, Bryn and Iffer Long of Ripon, WI; great-grandson, Sterling Long of Austin, TX; brother, David (Barb) Long of Ripon, WI; sister-in-law, Delores Long of Tuttle Lake, WI and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Long.
Visitation for Jerry Long will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011, from
12 – 2:30 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Jerry Long will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 2:30 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn. Memorials may be given to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
