Jerry Kohnke, age 50, of Ripon, died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at his home.
He was born November 16, 1947, in Ripon, a son of the late Arthur W. and Evelyn (Warren) Kohnke. He attended school in Ripon, and from April 1967, until his retirement the end of December 1997, Jerry had worked as a MPP Mechanic at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac. He had lived in Ripon all of his life, and was a member of R.A.C.E. of Ripon, the National Rifle Association and Ripon Rifle & Pistol Club.
He is survived by 1 son, Christian R. (Melissa) Kohnke of Fond du Lac; I daughter, Kimberlee Baccus of Ripon; 1 grandson, Taylor D. Baccus of Ripon; I brother, James (Sharon) Kohnke of Ripon; and 1 nephew, Brian (Patti) Haverty of Oshkosh.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at 7:00 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Pastor David Busker officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place in the Rosendale Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
