Jerry T. Ziesmer, 54, of N8644 Arcade Glen Road, Ripon, passed away Thursday evening, November 6, 2003, at his home with his family at his side, after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.
Jerry was born on March 3, 1949, in Ripon, the son of Edward Bud and Joyce (Ninneman) Ziesmer. He graduated from Ripon Senior High School, and married Peggy Curtis on January 24, 1970. Jerry worked as a truck driver and crane operator for Modern Pole Builders Inc. (MPB) in Ripon. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Jerry enjoyed the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing and watching motor sports with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy of Ripon; two sons, Brent Ziesmer and Mark (Patty) Ziesmer, both of Ripon; three granddaughters; Katelyn, Jordyn, and Kerstyn; one brother, Ron (Linda) Ziesmer of Green Lake; and one sister, Jane Ziesmer of Berlin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Jerry Ziesmer will be held on Monday, November 10, 2003, at 1:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Pastor Sandra Krynik officiating. Friends may call on Monday at the church from 11:00 am until the time of the service. A private entombment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Oshkosh. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in Jerrys name.
