Jessie Quade, 89, Woodlake East, Nekoosa, formerly of Brandon and Ripon, died Friday, December 29, 1995 at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born August 15, 1906 in Yankton, South Dakota, a daughter of the Jenny Hazen. After graduating from Brandon High School in 1924, Jessie attended Oshkosh Normal College for 2 years. She married Louis Quade in 1929. Mr. Quade passed away in 1974.
Jessie was employed at the Ripon Knitting Works, Markesan Canning Factory and R-Line Foods in Ripon. She was a longtime resident of Brandon until she moved to Ripon in 1978, and since 1987 she lived in Nekoosa. Jessie was active in the Brandon and Nekoosa Senior Centers, and belonged to the Ripon Royal Neighbors.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Delores (Bob) Schomer of Castaic. CA and Doris Stracy of Ripon; 1 daughter-in-law, Dorothy Quade of Fairwater; 18 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, Richard Quade on December 27, 1989, 1 son-in-law, Donald Stracy on February 28, 1995, 1 great-granddaughter, Jennifer in 1992, and 3 sisters.
Funeral services for the late Jessie Quade will be Sunday at 1:00 P.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Reverend Eric Burnard will officiate and interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
