Jimmy Hideo Ige, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2007at his home in the Town of Princeton. Jimmy was born on December 9, 1924 in Waipouli Kauai, HI the son of Yoshizo and Toyo (Nagata) Ige. He worked as an Operating Engineer for Local 150 I.U.O.E and served his country in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during WWII. On March 26, 1949 he married Kazuko (Kay) Motooka. Jimmy was a member of Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church, and past member of Elk Grove Baptist Church. Jimmy was a long time resident of Elk Grove Village, IL prior to moving to Princeton, WI in 2002. Survivors include his children; Naomi Ikoma of Elk Grove Village, IL, Ruth Harrison of Roselle, IL, and Daniel Ige of Princeton, WI, grandchildren; Jennifer (Michael) Ikoma-Motzko, Michael Ikoma, Rachael & Jimmy Harrison. Brothers and sisters; Kenneth (Jean) Kaneshiro, Agnes Nakamatsu, Eleanor (Eddie) Lau, Ayako Nakanishi, Sally Viola and Ralph (Jean) Ige. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kimiko Oshiro and two son-in-laws James and Richard, his wife Kay, daughter-in-law Connie. Memorial Service will be held at Elk Grove Baptist, Elk Grove Village, IL Friday, July 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Chicago. A Memorial has been established.
