Joan Beuthin

Joan C. Beuthin, age 80, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Joan was born January 17, 1933, in the Town of Brooklyn, WI, the daughter of Alfred and Lillian (Heller) Klingbeil. She graduated from Green Lake High School and on September 11, 1955, Joan married Ervin Beuthin. In 1951, she started at Eaton’s Market as a meat wrapper and worked for them until the store changed hands. She also worked in the information booth at the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce. Joan was the 6th District President of the American Legion Auxiliary in Green Lake and a member of The Federated Church of Green Lake.

Survivors include first cousins, Elaine (Edward) White of Ripon, WI and Sylvia (Verne) Wepner of Oshkosh, WI; five brothers-in-law, Gilbert Beuthin of Princeton, WI, David (Peggy) Beuthin of Ripon, WI, Dennis (Jill) Beuthin of Ripon, WI, Larry (Elisabeth) Beuthin of Fairwater, WI and Gerald (Peggy) Beuthin of Berlin, WI; two sisters-in-law, Janet Beuthin of Green Lake, WI and Betty (David) Kuen of Neenah, WI. Joan is further survived by special friends, Phil and Mary Anne Baranowski and their children, Joel, Lisa, Nicolette, Andrea, Cindy and PJ also Kris Carley, Phyllis Bloch and nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ervin; brothers-in-law, Louie, Darwin and Vernon Beuthin and sister-in-law, Ruth, Doris and Carol Beuthin.

Visitation for Joan will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, from 10 – 11:00 am at The Federated Church of Green Lake, 489 Scott St., Green Lake, WI 54941.

Funeral service for Joan will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at 11:00 am at The Federated Church of Green Lake in Green Lake. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Memorials may be directed to Caestecker Public Library, 518 Hill St., Green Lake, WI 54941 or The Federated Church of Green Lake.
