JoAnn Kotlowski

JoAnn Kotlowski, age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side. 

JoAnn was born on August 14, 1942 in Yorkville, WI, daughter of Milan and Iva (Frentzel) Walker. She married William Kotlowski in 1976 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon, WI. JoAnn spent many years at J.M. Smucker Co. She developed a close group of friends who she referred to as The Golden Girls. 

JoAnn enjoyed traveling; she and her family took a trip every year. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, watching Westerns and playing cards and games on her iPad. She was a wonderful mother and loved spending time with her family and friends.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Carol (Mourad) Al-Tahrawy, David (Rita) Walker, Laure Olson, Lisa (Tony) Owen and William “BJ” (Shannon) Kotlowski; 12 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 7 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Bernice (Adam) Korab. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William (Bill) Kotlowski; her infant son, Daniel Walker; her parents, Milan and Iva Walker; her siblings, Donna, Dick, Betty and Maryanne.

Visitation for JoAnn will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.

A prayer service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM Cap officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Michael Cemetery in Berlin, WI at a later date. Memorials in her name may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105.
