JoAnne M. Skalsky, age 60, of Howards Grove, WI, passed away on Monday, November 9, 1992, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center in Sheboygan.

She was born September 16, 1932, in Jackson County, MN, a daughter to Emerson and Emma (Reimers) Betinger. She was educated in Lakefield, MN. On January 12, 1950, she married Roy Skalsky in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. JoAnne was a homemaker and in addition, worked as a playground supervisor at Howards Grove Elementary School. For many years she was employed at Klemme’s Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Howards Grove. Mrs. Skalsky is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sheboygan and the Royal Neighbors of America.

In addition to her husband, Roy, she is survived by two daughters, Debra (Gary) Martinelli of Middleton and Kathleen (Douglas) Kelm of Ripon; one son, Jeffrey Skalsky and special friend, Carrie Nink of Hoffman Estates, IL; three grandsons, David and Daniel Kelm of Ripon and Tony Martinelli of Middleton; three sisters, Mona Schroeder, Carna Jeppesen and Judy Stevens, all of Worthington, MN; eight nephews; and thirteen nieces. Her parents, two brothers, one sister and one niece preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 11, 1992 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Sheboygan. The Reverend Ed. Esler of Sheboygan will officiate. Entombment will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in Sheboygan. Friends may call from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan. A memorial has been established.
