JoAnne M. Waters, age 71, of 476 Walker Ave., Green Lake, passed away Friday evening, November 3, 2006 at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born September 24, 1935 in Princeton, the daughter of Vincent and Margaret (Ewald) Weiske. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1953. On June 30, 1956, she married Alden Waters of Green Lake. JoAnne worked as a waitress in the Green Lake community for over 40 years. She enjoyed the many contacts she made while serving others. JoAnne loved to cook and bake for others and was particularly fond of everything sweet. She enjoyed the escape from the aches and pains of the “golden years” through an occasional trip to her favorite casino.
She is survived by a daughter, Patty Linde, Stevens Point; three sons, Tom Waters, Green Lake, Rick (Lori) Waters, Neenah, and Joe (Jen) Waters, Green Lake. Grandchildren; Erik Linde, Wausau, Elliot Linde, Minneapolis, Alison Linde, Stevens Point, Malena and Kaley Waters, Neenah. Great-grandchildren; Carson and Skylar Linde, Wausau. One sister, Rosie Weiske, West Allis, a very good friend, Butch Bloch as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alden, brothers, Tom and Paul Weiske, and sister, Shirley Keipe.
Visitation for JoAnne Waters will be Monday, November 6, 2006 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, And again on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
Funeral services for JoAnne Waters will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
