JoEllen Hernandez, age 63, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Prairie Place.
JoEllen was born January 29, 1958 in Waupun, WI, the daughter of Jabin and Cora (Turner) Lawson. She earned her degree in early childhood education and enjoyed the time she spent working in child care. JoEllen attended Brandon United Methodist Church in Brandon, WI, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. JoEllen also loved all arts and crafts and spent much of her free time crafting.
Survivors include her sons, Anthony (Alexandra) Hernandez of Princeton, WI and Daniel (Linsay) Hernandez of Wausau, WI; grandchildren, Ava Culver, Asher and Axel Hernandez; brothers, Gregory (Nancy) Lawson of Fairwater, WI, Steven (Julie) Lawson of Fond du Lac, WI, Robert Lawson of Brandon, WI and Michael Lawson of Fond du Lac, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. JoEllen was preceded in death by her parents, Jabin and Cora Lawson; granddaughter, Alivia Hernandez; sister, Terri Harmsen; and brother, Thomas Lawson.
A visitation for JoEllen will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 9 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A memorial service for JoEllen will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Deike officiating. Inurnment will follow at Brandon Cemetery, Village of Brandon, WI. A memorial is being established in her name.
