John “Bogie” R. Bogener, age 52, of Fremont, WI, formerly of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at his home with family by his side.
John was born August 16, 1963, in Peoria, IL. He attended school in Ripon. John worked for Diverse Options in Ripon and when he moved with his sister, Connie, he worked at Waupaca County Industries. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon and Calvary Chapel in Waupaca.
Survivors include his foster parents, Ken and Carol Wittchow of Ripon, WI; brother, Gary (Christine) Wittchow of Ripon, WI; two sisters, Connie (Terry) Zalas of Fremont, WI and Debra Schraa of Oshkosh, WI and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his birth parents and nephew, Jonathan.
Visitation for John will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 10 – 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for John will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell and Reverend Dave Goyke will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial is being established in his name.
