John Burling, age 85, of Pickett, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 1956, at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Oshkosh.
John was born July 25, 1870, in Green Lake County, WI, the son of Gustave and Catherine (Hubbard) Burling. He married Eva Taylor on September 28, 1904, in Fond du Lac. John was a retired threshing crew manager which he did for fifty years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Floyd Painter of Pickett; one grandson, Robert Burling of Hancock, WI and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, two sisters and one brother.
Friends may call on Friday, July 6, 1956, at 2:30 pm at Butzin Funeral Home with The Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will take place at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in the Town of Utica.
