John William Gibson, age 80, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 1954, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
John was born July 5, 1874, in Rush Lake, WI, the son of William John and Mary (McGregor) Gibson. On November 30, 1907, he married Mary Smith in Brandon. John lived in Rush Lake all of his life and retired as a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; one son, Homer of Ripon; one daughter, Mrs. Arlouine Woodall of Chicago, IL; one granddaughter, Cheryl Woodall; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Zager of Auroraville, WI and one brother, James Gibson of Olney Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Friends may call on Monday, August 16, 1954, after 6:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for John will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 1954, at 2:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home with The Reverend Douglas Anderson officiating. Interment will take place at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun.
