John L. Huseboe, age 70, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010, at his home, after a brief bout with cancer, with his family at his side.
He was born in Madison, WI on June 21, 1939, the son of Lester and Anna (Larson) Huseboe. John attended Madison East High School, the UW Madison and Milton College, earning a degree in Economics. He joined the US Air Force, where he was an officer and pilot, stationed in Selma, AL. He came to Ripon to work at Speed Queen and later founded Creative Forming with partners Joe Clark and Jeff Bumby. John enjoyed spending time on his tractors, cutting wood and relaxing on Puhls Hill at his land near Green Lake. He also loved making the trip up north with his very good friends from Club Med North in the Winter, WI area, where the favorite time of the day was screwdriver;thirty.
John is survived by his loving partner and roomie of many years; Cindy Theune; her sons; Travis and Trent, and grandson, Gavin. Survivors also include his four children; Derek (Colleen), Bret, Kent (Jenni), Lisa (Kevin) Nass; and their mother, Sherry, eight (1/2!) grandchildren; Evan, Annie, Madison, Max, Grant, Brooke, Ava, and Aiden, all of whom will miss him dearly. He has one sister, Ruth (Don) Fiske, and a nephew, Don Jr. (Michelle) Fiske and one niece, Gillie (Lee), and a special cousin, Dick (Ione) Huseboe, and many other special friends. John was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved pets; EZ and Ditzo.
Visitation for John L. Huseboe will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from 1-3:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 Griswold Street in Ripon.
A Memorial Service will be held for John L. Huseboe on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 3:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Memorials can be given to TriCounty Animal Shelter, N6217 Busse Drive, Green Lake, WI 54941.
