John "Jack" Brooks

John “Jack” A. Brooks, age 95, of Green Lake, WI, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Kindred Hearts in Green Lake.
Jack was born on June 8, 1917, in Green Lake, the son of Raymond and Susan (Thrasher) Brooks. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran having served in Hawaii. Jack married Doris M. Scarem of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and raised three children, John W., Michael D. and Wendy S Brooks. He worked many years for Wisconsin Power & Light (now Alliant Energy).
He is survived by his three children and sister, Mary Kinas. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris; brother, Wilben Brooks and sisters, Jane Haseltine and Letty Weingartner.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials directed to Wisconsin Public TV and Radio, 821 University Ave., Madison, WI 53706, Green Lake Boy Scouts, N6126 Larson Dr., Green Lake, WI 54941 or St. Agnes Hospice Hope Foundation, 430 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
