John Krentz

John David Krentz, age 70, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 1993, at his home.
He was born on November 21, 1922, in Green Lake Co., the son of the late John and Ella (Hasse) Krentz. John worked as a farmer until he was drafted into the war from 1944 to 1947. He married Geraldine Wizner on May 17, 1947, and worked for Speed Queen for 20 years. Following his employment with Speed Queen, he worked for the Ripon Public School System for 15 years, during which time he was head custodian at the Ripon Middle School. John retired in December of 1984. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #5278 and Wings over Wisconsin.
John is survived by his wife Geraldine; daughter Jacqueline Theune of Green Lake; sons James and Jeff Krentz of Ripon and John D. Krentz III of Rudyard, Mil He is further survived by five beautiful grandchildren, Todd, Jodi, and Kim Theune of Green Lake, Jenna Krentz of Ripon and Jonathon Krentz of Rudyard, MI; one beautiful daughter-in-law, Kathy Welk Krentz and son-in-law Don Theune.
Funeral services for Mr. Krentz will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend John A. Schmitz will officiate and interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home.
