John F. Ledwith, 68, of 736 Newbury St., Ripon died Sunday, July 30, 1989, at the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center in Fond du Lac.
He was born February 15, 1921, in Baltimore, MD, to John F. and Anna Collins Ledwith. On June 25, 1963, he married Joyce Borden.
Mr. Ledwith was educated in Baltimore. He was a retired administrator for the County of Los Angeles. He had lived in Ripon the last 12 years. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; two sons, Steve and Mike, both of Oshkosh; five daughters, Laura and Lisa both of Ripon, Kay of Athens, OH, Rita of Miami, FL and Patricia Harrigan and her husband, Wayne of SC and one sister, Betty Gillespie and her husband Wayne of Cumming, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Sarah.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend Arthur Volkmann will officiate. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home. Memorials in his name have been directed to Alzheimers Research and Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Ripon.
