John E. Roessl, age 76, of Green Lake, WI. passed away Friday, June 14, 2002 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
John was born February 8, 1926 in Milwaukee, a son to John and Mary (Toman) Roessl. He graduated from Milwaukee Boys Tech and on June 11, 1949 married Charlotte Rahn. He was employed as a Tool Designer at A.O. Smith Company retiring in 1987. He resided in Milwaukee all of his life prior to moving to Green Lake in 1990. John was a Veteran of World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a lifetime member of Legion Post #306, a lifetime member of DAV, and a former Green Lake Fire Commissioner. He was also a member of Green Lake Federated Church, Green Lake.
Family include; his wife, Charlotte M. Roessl, Sons; James W. Roessl, David J. Roessl, Edward W. (Claudia) Roessl, Thomas P. (Linda) Roessl, and Robert A. Roessl, one daughter; Joan L. (William) Schimp. Also grandchildren; Alison, Victoria, Brett, and Elisabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, John A. Roessl in 1960.
Private family services were held with Rev. Karen Gygax-Rodriguaz officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Fond du Lac Hospice Hope/Central Wisconsin Branch, 114 N. Pearl St., Berlin, WI 54923.
