John Scholetzky, Jr., age 72, of 414 Walker Ave., Green Lake, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at Zoblocki V.A. Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born September 27, 1933, in New York, NY, a son to John and Olga (Buckhowski) Scholetzky. He received his education at RCA Institute in NY. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. John had been an electrician at Peterson Boat Builders in Sturgeon Bay prior to moving to Green Lake. On July 17, 1993, he married Mary Brightman in Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Green Lake; mother Olga of NY; two sons, John Eric (Athena) Scholetzky of VA and David (Wendy) Scholetsky of VA; one brother, Richard Scholetsky of VA; five stepchildren, Elmer Ruffner of Green Lake, Golden (Brenda) Ruffner of VA, Craig Minskey of Berlin, Patrick Minskey of Grand Chute, and Elizabeth (Joseph) Kabacinski of West Allis; four grandchildren, Amanda & Nicholas Minskey and Christen & Caleb Scholetzky; and one niece Robin Scholetzky of OR. He was preceded in death by his father; and his wives, Shirley Jones whom he married in 1956 and Nellie M. Ruffner whom he married in 1971.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. on the church. Inurnment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
