John-Scott Horner

John-Scott Horner, age 19, of Altoona, WI, died Tuesday, August 15, 2000.

Scott was born on July 28, 1981, the son of Frances J. Ballou-Horner in Barron, WI. Scott graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School and was a Chef at Perkins Restaurant in Eau Claire. He was a member of Christ Church Cathedral in Eau Claire. He lived in the Altoona and Eau Claire area all his life.

Survivors include his mother, Frances J. Ballou-Horner of Eau Claire; one sister, Frances Anne Ballou-Horner of Altoona; grandmother, Anne Dorchester Thomas Wozniak of Rice Lake; Grace Emily Calden Glass of Millbrook, Ontario, Canada; stepmother, Carla E. Stromberg, grandmother, Susanne J. Stromberg both of Eau Claire; one uncle, James-Michael Horner Horton of Denver, CO; two aunts, Grace-Elizabeth Feemster of Sulphur, LA and Emily-Dorchester Gibbons of LaFayette, LA; and several cousins from Sulphur, LA and LaFayette, LA.

Preceding John-Scott in death was his great-grandmother, Frances Lillian Horner Thomas, great-grandfather, Jack Edwin Thomas, and one aunt, Dr. Anna Marie Horner Singdahlson.

A memorial mass of the resurrection for John-Scott Horner will be held at 5 pm Sunday, October 15, 200 at Christ Church Cathedral, Eau Claire with Father H. Scott Kirby officiating. A private mass of the Resurrection was previously held August 19, 2000, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ripon, and interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
