John Herman Tabbert, age 69, of 677 Gary St. Ripon, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 2, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.
He was born on March 28, 1935 the son of Leon and Leona (Raube) Tabbert in the Town of Alto. John graduated from Brandon High School and than went in the Merchant Marine Academy, and served in the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines. He married Charlotte Neitzel on August 24, 1963, and they made their home in Ripon. John worked for Silver Creek Specialty Meats of Oshkosh, as a Sausage Maker, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, was an usher at church and was a member of the Ripon Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Ripon, two daughters, Pam Tabbert and her husband Uwe Kreisel of Altrip, Germany, and their children, Markus and Alexander Kreisel, Deb and her husband Mike ONeil of Waukegan, IL, and their children, Erin and Kelly ONeil, one sister, Mary (Dave) Miller of Tempe, AZ, and several nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Jean Tabbert.
A memorial service for John Tabbert will be held on Monday, March 7, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, at 11:00 am with Pastor Sandra Krynik officiating. Friends may call at the Church on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Inunrment will take place at Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun at a later date. Memorials can be made out to the American Cancer Society in Johns name.
