John Longdin Treleven, 84, of 602 Watson St., Ripon, died Thursday evening, April 6, 1995, at his home.
He was born August 16, 1910, in Fond du Lac, a son of the late William and Grace (Longdin) Treleven. He was educated in Fond du Lac, and in September of 1931, he married Miriam Smalley. John was stockroom foreman at Giddings and Lewis for 25 years, then managed the Montgomery Ward Store in Ripon until it closed, and before he retired was in charge of the mailroom at Ripon College. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Masonic Lodge /1140 A&FM and Zor Shrine Club.
He is survived by 1 son, William Treleven (Tammy) of Sun Prairie; 1 daughter, Kathro Taylor (Robert) of Ripon; 1 grandson, Scott Taylor; step-grandson, Chris and step-granddaughter, Nicole; 1 sister, Nettie Fairchild of Ripon & Green Lake; and 1 aunt, Florence Kummerow of Ripon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, 1 brother, Daniel, and sisters, Marie and Grace Marie.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services for the late John Treleven will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, at Rienzi Cemetery, Fond du Lac with the Rev. Howard Ott officiating.
