John J. Williams, age 68, of Portage, WI, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at his home with his family by his side.
John was born on October 31, 1942, in Beaver Dam, WI, the son of John and Alvina (Schwartz) Williams. On September 12, 1967, John married Charlene Biel in Carlton Minnesota. He worked as a production worker for Madison Newspapers for ten years. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Portage.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene of Portage, WI; three daughters, Tamara (Terry) Laskowski of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Jessica Brown of Wyocena, WI and Jo Williams of Duluth, MN; one son, Keith (Jami) Williams of Portage, WI; grandsons, Josh Laskowski of Portage, WI, Decker Williams of Portage, WI, Chuckie Brown of Wyocena, WI, Antne Thomas of Wyocena, WI, Chase and Jagger Collelo both of Duluth, MN and Alex Laskowski of Wisconsin Dells, WI; granddaughters, Nikki Laskowski of Milwaukee, WI, Kayla Brown of Wyocena, WI, Heaven Williams of Portage, WI, Marion Hayes of Portage, WI, Karissa Laskowski of Wisconsin Dells, WI and Ebony Laskowski of Wisconsin Dells, WI and great-granddaughter, Alyssa Dominguez of Milwaukee, WI; three sisters, Sharon Williams of Cloquet, MN, Betty Johnson of Palm Harbor, FL and Donna Schoenwetter of Milwaukee, WI and one brother, Jerry (Lois) Williams of Holyoke, MN.
Visitation for John Williams will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011, from 3 – 5:00 pm at Grace Bible Church, 2939 County Rd. CX Portage, WI 53901.
Funeral Service for John Williams will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011, at 5:00 pm at Grace Bible Church in Portage. Pastor Steve Corbett will officiate. Memorials are being established in his name.
