Jon Meierhofer

One of Ripon, Wisconsin’s friendliest and kindest citizen, Jon R. Meierhofer, age 64, passed away on September 4, 2021. Most people remember him as the town’s greeter, waving and kindly greeting those he encountered. He loved people, especially children, affectionately calling them “Tiger”.

Jon was a star football player at Ripon High School, setting a rushing record that lasted several years. He then played at University of Wisconsin-River Falls for a short time. He was a Vikings fan to the bone, taking lots of fun jibes from friends as he proudly wore his Vikings jacket in Packer Country!

Jon was born in Maple Lake, MN, the 4th of 10 children: Robin, Pepin, Laurie (Kasuboski), Barbara (deceased), Cheri (Burton), Matthew, Tod, Julie (Deters) and Kip. His parents are Maynard (deceased) and Virginia (Zenner) Meierhofer.
