Joseph V. Hrabe, age 71, of Princeton, WI, died Monday, February 10, 1997, at his home. Cremation took place in Ripon.
Born May 20, 1925, at Chicago, he was employed for 40 years in automobile sales and management. He moved to Princeton in 1978, and became the owner and builder of Big Tree Log Homes. He was employed by Baird GM Inc. in Ripon from 1984 until 1991 when he retired.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in World War II, where he participated in the Pacific Campaign. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Princeton, the V.F.W. Post #10452 of Princeton and the Elks in Oak Lawn, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Rozella of Princeton; a son, Kenneth (Francine) Hrabe and their three children, Jennifer, Ken and Craig of Campbellsport; two daughters, Victoria (Charlie) Wielgosh and their two children, Keri and Gregory of Princeton and Christine of IL; a sister, Lorraine (Melvin) Katello; three nieces and one nephew of Chicago. He is further survived by a step-daughter, Colleen (Jeffrey) Lapp and their two children, Geoffrey and James of Wasilla, Alaska; a step-son, R. Kevin Mason of Anchorage, Alaska, and his church family and many dear friends.
Memorial service will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Princeton on Saturday, February 22, 1997, at 11:00 am with Reverend William R. Lewis performing the service. Memorials to Calvary Lutheran Church or Hospice Hope of Saint Agnes Hospital would be appreciated by his wife.
